Last week I shared how I use devotionals to grab a minute with God when I don’t have a lot of time to dig into the Word. This year I am being more intentional about really digging into the Word and studying what the scriptures have to reveal to me. I have also found some bible study tools to help me with this goal.
When I sat down to think about my goals for 2015 I knew that I needed to get real serious about my time spent in bible study, prayer and worship. I have three main goals for this year:
- Develop a consistent habit of being in the Word daily
- Learn and use the inductive method of studying the bible
- Complete 2-3 in depth bible studies by the end of the year
These are not new goals for me. Honestly I’ve had each of these goals over the last 10 years. I’ve not been very successful. I knew that I really needed to get my act together. In December I spent some time (and a little money) gathering up some bible study tools to help me meet my goals this year. Here’s a video where I share some of those tools and how I’m using them.
